From the simple Halloween getup to film-quality garb, Chrysalis is a costume marketplace looking to give people access to a greater variety of  affordable costumes with a sustainable and charitable approach.

The costume market is highly fragmented and non-standardized. Costumes are typically worn once and thrown out, contributing to the exponential growth of textile waste. Additionally, it is also reasonably expensive for a single-use item and there is currently no existing outlets that cater specifically for used and/or handmade specialty costumes.

1. Customer Website

Enables users to buy/sell their costumes to each other - Whether old, used, new or handmade. The website also has an events page where all upcoming costume events are listed to encourage user participation.

2. Customer App

Enables users to upload their costumes onto their account for sale. They will be able to snap product photos easily and effectively using their smartphone camera, and later fill in the product's information as well.

User personas were created to help identify Chrysalis' target customers, allowing me to align the strategy and goals of the website and app to specific user groups.

After establishing the core customer base, I lead the MVP workshop with all the key project stakeholders to determine all functions and features that were to be implemented on the website. This project was particularly complicated as the concept/business model was rather complex. 

Some issues that arose:

-    Regulation of costume prices
-    
Prevention of badly taken product images

-    Establishment of trust between users

-   Maintaining levels of engagement after costume upload(s)

MVP Workshop, User Stories and Sitemap

Upon successfully completing the user flows and sitemap for Chrysalis I began putting together the high fidelity wireframes with the goal of producing the most efficient design possible.
